My mom is the most amazing person. She is the most intelligent person I have ever known and I always go to her with any problem oir dilemna I have. She is always, always there for me. On the other hand, she is the strongest person I know. Through every problem she has ever faced, she never complains or feels sorry for herself. She has cared for five different elderly relatives throughout my life with dementia or health problems, and now she is suffering from macular degeneration and has days where she cannot see. But she keeps living and laughing and loving!

The thing I think I liked best about my mother was that ALL seven of us thought we were her favorite! She made each of us feel special!

I lost my mom in February. What I miss most and appreciated most especially now that she is gone is how smart she was. She knew so much about everything – all I had to do was pick up the phone and call her with a question and she always had the answer. I miss being able to pick up the phone and call her. This Mother’s Day is going to be so hard without her.
