I admit I’m not a huge water person. I’m not one to want to lounge around in my swim suit all day, sweating in the sun, but one thing I do love about the water is the beautiful sea creatures.
During our recent trip to Florida, we went to a restaurant in Port Canaveral where the cruise ships dock and I saw this friendly creature. Well, I’m not entirely sure he was all that friendly, but he sure was beautiful. I’m also not entirely sure that he was a he, but that’s okay too.
Here’s another sea turtle whose residence is the Georgia Aquarium (please don’t mind the grainy photo).
Since we’re on the subject of beautiful sea turtles, here’s some additional information about how the sea turtles need our help to survive. Some friends are spending their honeymoon traveling the world right now (sounds amazing, right?) while “sharing their love with people who are less fortunate and in causes that help restore and protect our beautiful planet and endangered wildlife.” One of their most recent adventures was in Bali where they set 110 baby sea turtles free to make their way to the ocean.
Check out this link with some really great information on it and be sure to watch the video they created. Those little turtles couldn’t be any cuter!
